It’s hard to believe but Fall is almost upon us. Celebrating the coming of Autumn and Back to School, Dupont Circle Historic Main Streets (HDCMS) invites all from the greater DC Metro area and beyond to its annual end of August Pop-Up shopping event. Join us on Saturday, August 27th from 12:00-5:00pm. More than 50 vendors will be on the sidewalks, outside on P Street and Connecticut Avenue selling their goods.
More than 2000 shoppers came from throughout the region in June to take advantage of this unique shopping opportunity. While in Dupont Circle, shoppers visited the many pop-up vendors, local retailers, art galleries, and dinned in one of the many restaurants with outdoor café seating.
HDCMS Promotions Committee chair Sue Taylor stressed, “As our Pop-Up event will shine once again it is important to know, too, that the Dupont Circle area is known for its amazing retail stores, food, museums, and art galleries. Spending the afternoon here relaxing and shopping is a great way to start the upcoming Autumn season. We look forward to seeing everyone.”
The August pop-up shopping event will have more than 50vendorsfrom around the region for pedestrians to discover paintings, jewelry, pottery, candles, soaps, and other maker goods. Pop-ups will be in front of retail stores so you can walk around and then take a break in Dupont Circle park or at a streatery to recharge.
Volunteers will be at the Dupont Circle Metro – North exit on Q Street – passing out maps and giving directions to pop-up shops and retailers. The pop-up is organized by Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets and sponsored by the Department of Small & Local Business Development. The event is free and open to the public. Rain or shine.
