Join us for another pop-up shopping event to showcase all the Pride we have for Dupont Circle on Saturday, June 12th from 12:00-6:00 p.m.  More than 52 vendors will outside on the sidewalks along P Street and Connecticut Avenue to draw people to the great retailers and restaurants around greater Dupont Circle.

The Capital Pride Parade will hold a Pride Walk and Pridemobile ride.  The public will gather in Dupont Circle at 12:00 noon to prepare to walk, run, bike, rollerblade, stroll, sashay, etc.  People will depart at 12:30 pm and head east on P Street to Logan Circle and finish at Freedom Plaza for a Pride Rally. There will be a short program with music at Freedom Plaza as folks gather to kick-off the Pridemobile ride at 3:00 pm, going to Dupont Circle, 17th Street, and Logan Circle.

More than 1000 shoppers came from throughout the region in April to take advantage of this unique shopping opportunity. While in Dupont Circle, shoppers visited the many pop-up vendors, local retailers, art galleries, and dinned in one of the many restaurants with outdoor café seating.

“Dupont Circle continues to be a shopping and dining destination,” said Sue Taylor, Main Streets Promotion Committee chair.  “Our pop-up aims to bring new people to explore our two-acre park at the center of the Circle, 40 retailers, and 90 restaurants!”

The pop-up shopping event will have more than 52 vendors from around the region on the sidewalks along P Street and Connecticut Avenue for pedestrians to discover paintings, jewelry, potter, candles, soaps, and other maker goods.  Pop-ups will be in front of retail stores so you can walk around and then take a break in Dupont Circle park or at a streatery to recharge.  Social distancing protocols will be in place so you can meet the artists and visit your favorite retailers safely.

Volunteers will be at the Dupont Circle Metro – North exit on Q Street – passing out maps and giving directions to pop-up shops and retailers.
